COMET-LA Project selected to debate the future of Europe as global actor

COMET-LA is aimed at identifying community models of governance and sustainable management of natural resources in response to environmental challenges posed by the current context of climate change and increasing competition for the use of these resources Results and lessons learned from COMET -LA will be presented to attendants by the project coordinator, Maria del Mar Delgado, Professor of Economics, Sociology and Agricultural Policy at the University of Córdoba and researcher of The Agrifood Campus of International Excellence ceiA3.

Researcher at the University of Córdoba and ceiA3, Maria del Mar Delgado, will be presenting in Brussels experienced gained in participatory and upward management of natural resources within COMET-LA project

 

COMET -LA project, funded by the 7th Framework Programme (FP7) of the EU and led by the University of Cordoba, is one of 8 projects selected for communication of results next 5th June at the workshop: “Research meets diplomacy: Europe as a Global Actor. Insights from the Socio-economic sciences and humanities for EU external action', organized by the European Commission in Brussels.

This workshop will bring together scientists, policy and decision makers in order to analyze the progress made by the European Union as a global player of the FP7. The future of international cooperation in research and innovation under the Horizon 2020 program will also be discussed, with especial focus in the challenge 'Europe in a changing world , inclusive, innovative and reflective societies'

COMET-LA aims at identifying community models of governance and sustainable management of natural resources, an environmental challenge brought about by the current context of climate change and an increasing competition for such resources.
